Head Teacher
Start date: September 2019 · Contract type: Full time, permanent · Salary: Group 6 (Upper range £83,528)

A unique and rare opportunity has arisen for an outstanding candidate to take up the position of Head Teacher. The vacancy arises due to the retirement of the current Head Teacher, who has successfully led the school for the last 14 years, achieving outstanding from our Diocesan Section 48 Inspection in 2017 and a consistent Ofsted rating of Good.
The Governing Body’s determination is for the school to be outstanding in both pastoral care and academic achievement; it is realistic about the journey. Our new Head Teacher will take the school on to the next stage of its development.

If you are interested in becoming a teacher and require school experience before applying for a PGCE or School Direct course we are pleased to offer you the opportunity.   

At the Catholic High School, Chester we offer two fortnight periods of work experience at different times of the academic year.

If you are interested in gaining work experience at The Catholic High School during one of those times, please contact the school for an application form. If this application is successful we would require you to have a DBS certificate, which can be organised through the school at a cost of £65.*
